35 weeks

April 11, 2012

I’m now officially two days more pregnant than I’ve ever been before.  Little Friend made an early entrance into the world at 34 weeks and 5 days.  This time around, I’ve made it to a whole 35 weeks.

I can say I’m actually happy to experience–finally–the third-trimester woes I’ve only heard recounted secondhand: exhaustion, aches and pains, bruised ribs, heartburn, swollen feet.  I even like rolling out of bed like a mama-walrus.  I lie.  I don’t like that part at all.

When you don’t have it (whatever “it” is), it’s all the more precious when you finally get a taste of it.

So hello third trimester.  Hello stretch of pregnancy I’ve never met before.  Hello delivery date waiting just five weeks away.

35 weeks today, and all is well.

B–I got this Valco Hitchhiker for my “big” girl when the twins arrived
I have used it a ton, and love it. It made it possible to have G jump on and ride when she got tired, and I didn’t have to have a triple stroller! It might be a nice option (instead of a full twin stroller). ps. congrats on making it so far!

I agree! I try to make my new waddle into a “penguin” game with the girls. I’d like to say I enjoy it too!

I’m so glad you are entering this stage of pregnancy. You look beautiful. I’m sure you will handle any discomfort with grace and beauty. That is who you truly are. Love and continued prayers for all of you.

The little story with your profile is precious 🙂 Wish I thought of that when I had my kiddos… The last few weeks will drag on, but there will be a point when you can breathe again and eat more than a tablespoon of anything, that’s when baby drops. It was a sigh of relief that this is almost over and baby is coming soon 🙂
Thank you for sharing your journey!
